Deanna Nolan scored 19 points, and the Detroit Shock defeated the Connecticut Sun, 75-66, yesterday. It was Connecticut's first home loss this season.

The Sun had a 15-game home winning streak dating to last season. Connecticut lost for the first time at Mohegan Sun Arena since Sept. 17, 2004.

Margo Dydek led the Sun with 16 points. The Sun shot a season-low 16 for 59 (27.1 percent). It was the second fewest field goals in a game in Connecticut's seven-year history.

* SILVER STARS 68, COMETS 63: Shannon Johnson went 11 for 11 from the free throw line and scored 18 points to lead San Antonio to only its second road win of the season.

Bernadette Ngoyisa tied her season high with 10 points as the Silver Stars beat Houston for the first time in four tries this season and improved to 2-12 on the road.

Sheryl Swoopes scored 17 points for the Comets, who have dropped three straight at home.

* ALL-STAR TRADED: The Detroit Shock acquired five-time All-Star Katie Smith in a trade with the Minnesota Lynx, adding the WNBA's career three-point leader. Minnesota dealt Smith and a second-round draft pick in 2006 for Chandi Jones, Stacey Thomas, and a 2006 first-round pick.
