Shalrie Joseph scored the tiebreaking goal in the 80th minute and the visiting New England Revolution beat FC Dallas, 2-1, last night to extend the Texas club's winless streak to six games.
Andy Dorman crossed a short pass to Joseph, who dribbled between two FC Dallas defenders and scored from 25 yards to help New England (12-4-6) remain in first place in the Eastern Division.
Carlos Ruiz tied the game at 1 for FC Dallas (10-6-5) in the 58th minute when he angled a header to the left corner of the goal from the center of the goalie's box. Ruiz has 10 goals this season, including all three of FC Dallas's goals at new Pizza Hut Park. Chris Gbandi crossed a pass to Ruiz from the right flank to assist on the score.
* WIZARDS 4, REAL SALT LAKE 2: Real Salt Lake forward Jason Kreis became the first MLS player to score 100 career goals, connecting in the 72nd minute against visiting Kansas City.
Kreis, 32, did two back flips after the milestone goal.
Sasha Victorine scored twice and Scott Sealy and Chris Klein added goals for Kansas City (10-5-8).
* FIRE 2, GALAXY 1: In Chicago, Jesse Marsch and John Thorrington scored first-half goals to lead the Fire to a victory over Los Angeles.
Chicago (12-9-3) opened the scoring in the 20th minute when Marsch fired a penalty kick into the bottom left corner of the net. Thorrington scored 18 minutes later on a header off Justin Mapp's crossing pass.
Peter Vagenas scored for the Galaxy (9-9-5) in the 53rd minute.

Man U Opens in Style
Manchester United won at Everton, 2-0, in the opening match of the English Premiership season yesterday. Tottenham and Charlton also won on the road while newly promoted West Ham began with a 3-1 home victory against Blackburn.
United went ahead two minutes before halftime when Ruud van Nistelrooy converted a low cross from John O'Shea. A minute after the break, Wayne Rooney intercepted a back pass from Joseph Yobo to score the second.
