* Radio: WWRC-1260.

* Records: Mystics 15-17, Sun 24-8.

* Data: Connecticut is tied with Sacramento for the best record in the WNBA, has already secured the top seed for the Eastern Conference playoffs and has won all three meetings with the Mystics. Washington snapped a five-game losing streak with an 82-69 overtime win over New York on Tuesday and can wrap up a playoff spot with a win tonight and a win tomorrow over Detroit in the regular season finale at MCI Center.

Detroit beat the Indiana Fever last night, so a Mystics loss tonight would eliminate them from playoff contention.

In the last meeting between the Sun and Mystics on Aug. 14, the visiting Mystics nearly erased a 19-point deficit before losing, 80-77. The Sun is coming off consecutive losses for only the second time this season. Connecticut Coach Mike Thibault said he will not rest his starters tonight because the Sun is still battling Sacramento for home-court advantage for the WNBA finals. Connecticut lost Game 3 of last year's finals at Seattle.

"It's important that we play well because you want to go into the playoffs with rhythm," Thibault said. "And we learned last year how important home-court advantage can be in the playoffs. We still have a lot to play for."
