Aaron Boone hit a two-run homer, and Casey Blake and Coco Crisp had solo shots to help Cleveland move into the wild-card lead by winning at home in a makeup game from a rainout.

The Indians moved a half game in front of the Yankees, who lost to the Devil Rays. Boone's homer tied it 2-2 in the fifth inning before Blake and Crisp connected in the sixth. The Indians have won four in a row, 12 of 14 and are 15-5 since Aug. 18. The Tigers have lost eight straight.
