Athletics at Indians:

Cleveland has the chance to all but eliminate the Athletics in the wild-card race. Indians starter Kevin Millwood (11-7) hasn't faced Oakland this year, but he is only 2-7 at home.

* The Yankees won a coin flip yesterday and would host the Red Sox if a one-game playoff is needed to break a tie for the AL East title.

* If the Indians and White Sox were to tie for the AL Central title, Cleveland would host, and if the Angels and Athletics need a tiebreaker in the AL West, the game would be in Anaheim, Calif.

* If a tiebreaker is needed for the wild card, New York or Oakland would play at Cleveland, or Oakland would play at New York.

* If three teams finish with the same record and a tiebreaker is needed, the teams in the same division play a tiebreaker for first place, and the loser meets the team from the other division in a one-game wild-card tiebreaker.
