Athletics: SS Bobby Crosby (broken ankle) resumed hitting off a tee.

Blue Jays: 2B Orlando Hudson (sprained ankle) missed his sixth straight game.

Devil Rays: 2B Jorge Cantu left in the seventh inning last night after being hit on the left elbow by a pitch. X-rays were negative.

Tigers: RHP Jeremy Bonderman (elbow stiffness) had a limited bullpen session before yesterday's game against the Twins, and could return to the rotation early next week in Kansas City. . . . 1B Dmitri Young missed his sixth straight game with a leg injury. . . . Detroit was without closer Fernando Rodney, who went to Florida to be with his girlfriend for the birth of their child.

Twins: LHP Johan Santana had his start moved from last night to Saturday because of a blister on his middle finger. . . . RHP Brad Radke (sore shoulder) is expected to stay in the rotation.
