Game of the Day

PERSONNEL DEPT.

Indians: 2B Ronnie Belliard missed his third straight game with a strained abdominal muscle.

Mariners: OF Ichiro Suzuki was the DH for the second straight game as he got a break from playing the outfield to rest a sore foot. Suzuki is expected back in right field tonight against the Blue Jays.

Red Sox: 3B Kevin Youkilis left after hurting his right ring finger while fielding a grounder by the Athletics' Marco Scutaro leading off the seventh inning.

Yankees: RHP Jaret Wright left his start against the Blue Jays in the third inning after being struck by Eric Hinske's broken bat. Hinske's bat broke as he grounded out to first. Wright tried to brace himself but he stepped right in the path of the barrel, which bruised and cut his right elbow.

Wright, who fell down holding his arm, isn't sure if he'll be able to make his next scheduled start, but X-rays were negative.

1B Jason Giambi also left the game after the top of the fourth inning because of back spasms.
