Mount Hebron senior running back Chris Eccleston, who is tied with Westfield's Evan Royster for the area lead with nine rushing touchdowns, leads the Vikings (2-0) against Reservoir (1-1) in a Howard County game tomorrow at 2 p.m. Eccleston, who has rushed for 280 yards on 26 carries this fall, had 81 yards on 11 carries against Reservoir last season. . . . Howard will look to improve to 2-1 for the first time in five years when it hosts Wilde Lake (2-0) in a Howard County game tomorrow at 2 p.m. Howard has not defeated the Wildecats since 1999, which is the last time it qualified for the postseason. . . .

Suitland All-Met linebacker Navorro Bowman, injured in a loss last week to No. 9 Douglass, will not play tomorrow against Bladensburg, Rams Coach Nick Lynch said. Bowman is scheduled to have his bruised right shoulder re-examined today, Lynch said. . . .

The realigned Virginia AAA Concorde District was generally considered to be the strongest in the Northern Region and it has met those expectations. Three of the Concorde's seven teams are ranked (No. 1 Robinson, No. 7 Centreville, No. 16 Oakton), and five are still undefeated (the three ranked teams, Herndon and Westfield). Concorde teams have a combined 14-3 nonconference record.
