Dominion earned its first AA Dulles District victory Saturday with a 13-9 win over visiting Loudoun County. For the third straight game Titans senior running back Tony Armenteros scored the first time he touched the football, rushing 62 yards on the team's second play from scrimmage. All three quick scores have come on runs of at least 60 yards. . . .

Sherando freshman quarterback Ross Metheny threw for more than 230 yards and two touchdowns for the second straight game, leading the Warriors to a 19-14 win at then-No. 13 Liberty on Friday. The loss was the Eagles' first in the regular season since Nov. 8, 2002, and snapped a 17-game win streak against AA Northwestern District opponents. . . .

A week after suffering its first loss of the season, Colonial Forge (5-1, 2-1 AAA Commonwealth) returned to its winning ways with another dominating defensive performance. The Eagles beat Albemarle, 23-0, for their third shutout of the season. Colonial Forge allowed three touchdowns in a 21-2 loss to No. 14 Massaponax on Oct. 10; in their other five games combined, the Eagles have allowed two touchdowns. . . .

Jefferson QB Matt Wong (772 yards rushing, 695 yards passing) missed the Colonials' last game, a 49-18 nondistrict loss at home against Herndon on Saturday, with a leg injury. The Jefferson activities office did not release any more information regarding the injury because it has not received clearance from doctors and Wong's parents. . . .

Centreville Coach Mike Skinner said senior WR Cam Dohse (38 catches, 683 yards, 10 touchdowns) is expected to play this week after suffering a mild concussion midway through the Robinson game that required him to leave the field on a stretcher.
