"I'll run the East Coast offense."

-- Arizona tackle Leonard Davis, should he be handed the team's quarterback job

Two games, three quarterbacking mysteries.

In Detroit, it only seems like a question of how soon Jeff Garcia can recover from a broken leg sufficiently to replace Joey Harrington, who has shown no improvement in his fourth season. The two have been splitting the snaps in practice this week, so Garcia could start as soon as today.

Cleveland's Trent Dilfer has played reasonably well this year, but a dismal loss last week to Baltimore, a promising -- and, coming from Akron, highly popular -- backup in rookie Charlie Frye and the unlikelihood of making the playoffs have Coach Romeo Crennel mulling a change.

At least Arizona Coach Dennis Green knows who his quarterback is going to be. He's just not telling. Veteran Kurt Warner is ready to return from injury, but all Josh McCown did in his absence was set a team record for passing yardage in consecutive games. "We basically take the position this week the more we know, the better for us it is, and the less that Tennessee knows, the better it is for us," Green said.

With Kurt Warner out, Josh McCown set a team record for passing yards in consecutive games.
