Yesterday, freshman Philip Purdy (Osbourn Park) scored the winning goal in the 67th minute. The Eagles held the lead thanks to sophomore goalkeeper Chris Sedlak; he made a career-high nine saves.

The Cavaliers (16-5-1) face Tennessee (15-5-2) in the second round tomorrow. The Volunteers defeated Wake Forest, 5-2.
