Pittsburgh at Minnesota: The Steelers (8-5) ended a three-game losing streak and stayed alive in the playoff hunt with a 21-9 win against the Chicago Bears, who feature the league's top-ranked defense. Jerome Bettis finished with 101 yards and two touchdowns. The Vikings (8-5) won their sixth game in a row, 27-13 over St. Louis, to move one game behind the division-leading Bears in the NFC North.

Dallas at Washington: One of football's most storied rivalries gets set for another chapter as both teams remain in the playoff chase. The Cowboys (8-5) rallied for a 31-28 victory over the Chiefs on the strength of quarterback Drew Bledsoe's arm, which accounted for three touchdown passes and 332 yards. The Redskins (7-6) held off the Cardinals, 17-13, and play three consecutive NFC East opponents to close the season.
