Staying in for New Year’s Eve? If so, there are quite a few TV options, so it depends on your mood: Do you want to see Christina Aguilera on ABC’s “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” for the first time in a decade? Snoop Dogg on Fox? Jennifer Lopez on NBC?

And on every broadcast from Times Square, viewers will see a group of journalists at 60 seconds to midnight, as they press the button to lower the New Year’s Eve Ball. “In one of the world’s most famous public squares it is fitting to celebrate free press and free speech as we reflect on where we’ve been during the past year and what it is we value most as a society,” said Tim Tompkins, president of the Time’s Square Alliance.
