Gabrielle Giffords, Kirsten Gillibrand shop before Emily’s List dinner

Former representative Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) and friend Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) shopped on Capitol Hill on Tuesday afternoon before the Emily’s List event where Giffords is to be honored.

Gillibrand tweeted this photo from their outing:

Giffords will be awarded the “We Are EMILY Award” from Emily’s List, a political advocacy organization that supports pro-choice women seeking office. They released a preview of a video tribute to Giffords, narrated by Gillibrand, which will be played at the event. Watch it after the jump.
