President Obama will host a dinner Monday night for congressional leaders of both parties.

The White House has not released a full list of attendees, but it will include House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio).

The dinner starts about 8 p.m. tonight. Obama will make public remarks at the beginning that will be televised, but the rest of the session is private.

Lawmakers from both parties are likely to congratulate the president for his administration’s role in the killing of Osama bin Laden. But the two parties remain strongly divided over another subject that could come up: the nation’s debt ceiling and the president’s broader plans to reduce the federal budget deficit.
