At Saturday’s 14th & U Farmers Market:

Copper Pot Food Co.: butternut squash and truffle oil soup; confit duck legs and october bean soup; corn soup; confit duck ravioli; braised grass-fed beef tortellini; spinach and ricotta ravioli

Kuhn Orchards: Cortland, Shizuka and Crimson Topaz apples; gourds and mini pumpkins; kabocha squash.

McCleaf’s Orchard: Ruby Jon and Empire apples; Asian pears; kiwi berries; new potatoes (red and white); cucumbers.

Mountain View Farm: rabe greens (like a cross between mustard and broccoli rabe); baby bok choy; red kimchi.

Whisked!: spiced pumpkin with dried cranberry loaf bread; curried butternut squash tart; pesto bread.

At Saturday’s H Street NE FreshFarm Market:

Blueberry Hill: sweet potato leaves.

Full Cellar Farm: purple, red and green peppers.

Quaker Valley Orchards: butternut, acorn, spaghetti and kabocha squash.

Richfield Farm: broccoli; last of the tomatoes.

At Saturday’s Mount Pleasant Farmers Market:

Earth Spring Farm: carnival squash.

Pleasant Pops: honey lavender popsicles.

At Sunday’s Takoma Park Farmers Market:

Calvert’s Gift Farm: organic arugula, kale, ginger, lemon grass and sweet potatoes.

Clear Spring Creamery: pumpkin yogurt smoothies; honey skim milk (new); cream butter, including unsalted butter (new).

Ferry Landing Farm and Apiary: fresh, pastured eggs.

Smith Meadows Farm: chicken pot pies ($12); tuscan bean soup with beef sausage.

Stone Hearth Bakery: assorted breads, rolls, tarts, pastries and empanadas.

Waterpenny Farm: winter squash, including butternut, acorn, buttercup, sunshine, delicata, spaghetti, blue ballet, and New England pie pumpkins; new line of prepared tomato products including marinara sauce, yellow and red tomato soup and salsa.

At Sunday’s Bloomingdale Farmers Market:

Copper Pot Food Co.: butternut squash and truffle oil soup; confit duck legs and october bean soup; black truffle and cheese tortellini; pulled pork and nectarine cappellacci; ham and Parmesan tortellini.

Painted Hand Farm: Oktoberfest-style bratwurst made with rose veal and pastured pork.

SnowBear Farm: parsley root; celeraic (celery root); tatsoi; mizuna; kale; sage; basil; cilantro.

At Tuesday’s FreshFarm Market in Crystal City:

Atwater’s Bakery: mini apple blackberry pie.

Barajas Produce: Daikon radish; arugula; kale; collards; turnips.

Bigg Riggs Farm: Swiss chard.

Kuhn Orchards: chestnuts; delicata squash.

Rockahock Farm: spiced figs.

At Wednesday’s Health and Human Services FreshFarm Market:

Garner’s Produce: corn; tomatoes.

Three Springs Fruit Farm: Fuji apples; fresh-pressed cider.


At Wednesday’s Health and Human Services FreshFarm Market, new producer Capitol Kettle Corn; Zumba on the Plaza, open to the public and hosted by FedStrive, 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; chef demo by Samaa Claiborne of Chocolate SaMosa, noon-1 p.m.

At Saturday’s H Street NE FreshFarm Market, kids can make “bugs” with produce, 9 a.m.-noon.; live music by Dustin Glasner, 10 a.m.-noon; sweet potato cooking demo by food educator Nura Williams, 10-11 a.m.

At Saturday’s FreshFarm Market in Silver Spring, the market moves to Gateway Plaza; cooking demo by chef Erik Berlin of the Silver Spring Whole Foods Market, 10-11 a.m.
