Casting for the Washington’s return engagement of “Jersey Boys,” the musical you can’t hear about without getting a Four Seasons song stuck in your head, has been announced. Joseph Leo Bwarie will reprise his role as Frankie Valli alongside Preston Truman Boyd as Bob Gaudio, John Gardiner as Tommy DeVito and Michael Lomenda as Nick Massi. Joseph Siravo, a D.C.-area native, and Jonathan Hadley also star.

Ensemble members include: Christopher DeAngelis, Lauren Dicierdo, John Michael Dias, Frankie J. Galasso, Buck Hujabre, Denise Payne, Mauricio Pérez, Timothy Quinlan, Kyli Rae, Brian Silverman, Kara Tremel, Mark Verdino, Donald Webber, Jr., Kevin Worley, and Adam Zelasko.

“Jersey Boys” will play at the National Theatre from Nov. 10 through Jan. 7.

Over at Arena Stage, the casting for Pulitzer Prize finalist and American Voices New Play Institute resident playwright Amy Freed’s “You, Nero” has been announced as well. The titular role will be played by Danny Scheie, who starred as Nero in both the South Coast Repertory and Berkeley Repertory Theatre production. Susannah Schulman and Kasey Mahaffy will reprise their roles as Poppaea and Fabiolo, respectively.

Other cast members include Marc Vietor as Scribonius, John C. Vennema as Seneca, and Helen Hayes Award winners Nancy Robinette as Agrippina and Laurence O’Dwyer as Burrus.

“You, Nero,” directed by Nicholas Martin, runs from Nov. 25 through Jan. 1 in the Fichandler Stage.
