Diamond Jubilee barge trip has Brits seeing red over Kate Middleton’s dress

Some in the English press are tsk, tsking over Kate Middleton’s decision to wear a red Alexander McQueen dress aboard the Spirit of Chartwell, upstaging the queen, who wore a white, Swarovski-crystal-studded coat and hat by her personal couturier, Angela Kelly. If Kate’s idea was to coordinate with mom Carole Middleton, who wore white, and sister Pippa, who wore nautical navy and white, she fared the worst of the three. Not only did her red clash with the barge, but, gasp, she was also wearing a version of the dress worn by the infamous Kim Kardashian. Kate’s was long-sleeved, simply accented with a dolphin pin and nude pumps. Still, leave those red uniforms to the guys, Kate. Take note of the Queen, who sparkled in her white outfit.

And while we’re on the subject of appropriate dress, etc., we think the now-30-year-old duchess should take a serious look at her hair. The long-hair college do no longer works for the woman who will be queen. Especially when she’s caught fiddling with it.
