The jazz singer and bassist resoundingly answered that question this year with a series of high-profile concerts — the latest on Thursday night on “The Daily Show.” Host Jon Stewart could barely hide his glee as she performed songs off her new album “Radio Music Society.” (See videos below).

To see the sultry singer in action in Washington, head to the Howard Theatre, where she’ll be performing on May 12.
