The lights will be dim at Ford’s Theater in the coming days. On May 23 and June 3 - 5, the theater, a National Historic Site, will be closed for facility maintenance on the 23rd, and in preparation for their annual gala June 3 - 5. The adjoining Peterson House, where President Lincoln died, is also closed until the summer of 2011 for restoration. The June closing will begin the afternoon of the third and will run through June 5. Until the theater is reopened, patrons requiring information should visit www.nps.gov/foth and www.fords.org.
