Moran was named the Center’s new artist adviser for jazz back in November — and on Tuesday, the Kennedy Center announced its 2012-13 season. It will add up to more than 70 jazz performances, including sets from Regina Carter, the Heath Brothers, Kurt Elling, Dave Holland, Charles Lloyd, NEA Jazz Masters Jack DeJohnette and Kenny Barron, Lonnie Smith, Nnenna Freelon, Gretchen Parlato and Roseanna Vitro.

For more information on the season, visit the Kennedy Center’s Web site.
