Barbara Cook, one of the 2011 Kennedy Center honorees, is celebrating her 84th birthday Tuesday.

An in-demand vocalist for Broadway, concert halls and cabarets for six decades, Cook recently released a CD, called “You Make Me Feel So Young.” Winner of a Tony Award, she was also nominated for a Tony for her recent Broadway appearance in “Sondheim on Sondheim.”

The other Kennedy Center Honors winners in 2011 are Sonny Rollins, Neil Diamond, Meryl Streep and Yo-Yo Ma.
