After months of publicity and Lindsay Lohan interviews, “Liz & Dick” finally premiered Sunday night. The reviews leading up to the event were less than enthusiastic ( including one from our own ‘Washington Post” Celebritologist), but the Twitter countdowns were full of excitement. Even Lohan herself, was ready to live-tweet the night away.
While Lohan was busy answering questions, others on Twitter were filling their feeds with the similarities between Lohan and Taylor, the accents, the costumes, the love scenes, the drinking and the co-stars.
I’ve an unhealthy level of excitement for #lizanddick. Treating w/the reverence usually reserved for an old-school 70’s “television event.”— Rachel Dratch (@TheRealDratch) November 26, 2012
Oh my god, someone splice this Liz and Dick diamond shopping scene with LiLo’s security cam necklace theft footge IMMEDIATELY. #lizanddick— Maureen O’Connor (@maureenoco) November 26, 2012
29 minutes in and we already have two suicide attempts. Well, three if you count mine. #LizandDick— Dan Zak (@MrDanZak) November 26, 2012
”I’M BORED. I’M SO BORED,” said Lindsay, not realizing that the cameras were rolling. #lizanddick - J— Go Fug Yourself (@fuggirls) November 26, 2012
To be fair though, the costumes are really quite lovely. And LiLo’s hair is very nice. #LizAndDick— refinery29 (@Refinery29) November 26, 2012
They r doing a marvelous job of making one of the greatest actresses of all time out to be one of the worst people of all time. #LizandDick— Adam Shankman (@adammshankman) November 26, 2012
