Music of the Movement: A Change is Gonna Come-2

“A Change is Gonna Come” became one of the anthems of the Civil Rights Movement. Sam Cooke originated the song, and Arts Post featured his version earlier Wednesday.

This continues a survey of songs of the Civil Rights era, leading up to the dedication of the Rev. Martin L. King, Jr. memorial on August 28.

Bettye LaVette and Jon Bon Jovi, delivered a powerful duet of the timeless song at the Lincoln Memorial the weekend before President Obama’s inauguration.
