The Oscars are over, but the fashion analysis has just begun. Some actresses — like Gwenyth Paltrow, Michelle Williams and Viola Davis — have landed firmly on the best-dressed list. For others, like Jessica Chastain and Angelina Jolie, the jury’s still out.

Either way: As much as Oscar-watchers covet the gowns they see on the red carpet runway, they’re not entirely practical for the rest of us. That’s where our Polyvore style challenge comes in: We want you to adapt your favorite red-carpet look from the Academy Awards into an outfit that would make a regular girl look like a movie star.

The challenge is part of our ongoing Oscars Remix: Washington Post Polyvore Style Search, where we’ll select finalists to serve as guest style correspondents here in The Style Blog. To play, create a Polyvore collage featuring a less glitzy outfit inspired by one of this year’s best Oscar dresses. Remember, your ensemble should reflect a sense of the chosen individual’s personal style as well your own creativity and eye for fashion.
