Thomas Pink unveiled a new design in Washington at the Thomas Pink store in the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel. The London-based fashion company’s new store has expanded into the space previously occupied by the iconic Town & Country Lounge, which closed in January. Thomas Pink plans to replicate the Washington design in each of its 84 stores around the world.
“The inspiration for the new Thomas Pink design is a contemporary play on the London gentleman’s club-a traditional building, but with contemporary finishes and textures,” said Alex Field, Thomas Pink’s marketing head in London. “It beautifully unifies our Jermyn Street heritage with a modern design aesthetic.”
The store also incorporates its signature fox symbol into much of décor, including the doors and paneling. The newly expanded space features black and pink granite floors and a vintage red huntsman jacket as a centerpiece.
Thomas Pink has since rolled out the new design in Harrods in London, but chose to exhibit the new design in Washington first.
“Thomas Pink is very proud of its US market… what better way to present the British character of our brand to America than to showcase the bold new look of The British Shirt Authority in the nation’s capital?” said Field.
On Friday, Thomas Pink also announced its new “Tie the Knot” Royal Wedding promotion, offering complimentary wedding services and personal stylists to wedding parties outfitting themselves in Thomas Pink shirts and ties.
