A chance to talk theater with ‘Uncle Vanya’ cast:

The Kennedy Center invites theater patrons to get up close and personal with the cast of their latest production, “Uncle Vanya” on Aug. 16 at 5 p.m. in the Family Theater. Guests can sit in on a discussion with Cate Blanchett, John Bell, Hayley McElhinney, Richard Roxburgh and Hugo Weaving, followed by a question-and-answer session. Try out for a spot with Teatro de la Luna:

Teatro de la Luna is on the hunt for new stars for the 2011-12 theater season, themed “Latin America . . . Passion for Theater!” Those interested must be fluent in Spanish and over 18, and should be prepared to recite a monologue or poem in Spanish that runs a maximum of two minutes. There are two mainstage productions to cast for, in addition to daytime performances for children and play readings.
