Will it work in Washington?

We wrap up our series of dispatches from New York Fashion Week with a stunner from the Joseph Altuzarra collection. Altuzarra clearly gets that it’s every woman’s dream to feel comfortable while looking stylish. This body-hugging, double-breasted peacoat with a black fox collar and leg-lengthening velvet trousers sends the perfect “I’m a power player” message without the severity too often found along K Street.

Would it work in Washington? Our bet: YES. Cast your vote in the poll below.

TIP:All that’s required to pull off this look, whether heading to the office or antique-shopping in Georgetown, is a confident, shoulders-back stride.
