Post Ombudsman, readers weigh in on slow page load time

The latest column from Patrick B. Pexton, The Post’s ombudsman, tackles an issue that many readers are concerned about: the slow load time for pages on The Post’s Web site.

The column quotes a letter from Jack, a longtime Post reader, who says pages on The Post’s Web site load sluggishly and often cause his computer to freeze.

“Jack isn’t alone in his frustration with the loading times of pages from,” Pexton writes. “In the past couple of months these kinds of letters have increased and now are the most numerous topic in my folder of complaints about the Web site.”
