Casey Anthony trial live stream now available as an app on iPod, iPad

Now Apple device users devoted to watching the court proceedings can take their dedication to a new level by watching a live stream of the trial on their iPhone, iPod or iPad with a new app.

The 99 cent app from Progressive Lifestyles is the first to offer streaming video, as well as new stories, case files and recordings and updates from the trial. Hearst Television's "Casey Anthony Updates" already let purchasers get similar updates and stories.

The app has been the top seller in the "News" app category for three days, according to Top App Charts. It ranks 64th overall. The company also offers a free "lite" version of the app, but it doesn't include streaming video.
