Jupiter’s moon may be getting all the press today (a theory has surfaced that the lakes on Europa suggest the possibility of life), but our own moon is still the focus of intense NASA study.

On Wednesday, NASA released the highest-resolution image yet of the moon: a topographical map that shows the mountains and dales of our nearest neighbor.

The images were collected by a Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera and the map was pieced together from 69,000 images.
