As the violence in Syria continues to escalate, it becomes increasingly difficult to get information out about what’s happening on the ground.
In December, Syria reportedly banned the iPhone, in an attempt to stop the flow of images and video being shared online by citizen journalists.
Activists such as Danny Abdul Dayem have filmed and posted dozens of videos to YouTube from Homs, the epicenter of the year-long uprising, and other cities across Syria. Many of these videos were filmed on an iPhone.
