These latest storms come just days after a tornado tore through Joplin, Mo., leaving at least 122 people dead and 1,500 still unaccounted for. Rescue workers are continuing to search for survivors in the rubble of the destroyed town, finding two more people alive Tuesday.

Dramatic before and after photos of the affected areas, created by Flickr user Aaron Fuhrman and some news organizations, show satellite images of formerly intact homes and buildings side-by-side with the photos from the aftermath that clearly display the storm’s massive power.
