Rod Blagojevich, Ides of March and Greg Smith: Morning roundup

Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D) enjoyed his last day of freedom Wednesday. In a speech outside his Chicago home before supporters and reporters, the Associated Press reports, he said his faith in his appeal remains and that this “is not over.”

Blagojevich, who was twice elected governor before he was arrested, impeached, and then convicted, will serve a 14-year sentence for corruption.
