Titled, “Scenes from the Suburbs,” the movie’s a meditation on life in the — you guessed it — suburbs. The entire 27-minute film can be seen on and is part of the band’s reissued album, due out August 2. In the film, a crowd of friends spends a languid summer together in an unnamed town that’s been taken over by the army. Strange, lyrical and with a healthy dose of teenaged angst, the film is hipster heaven. Watch the trailer here:

*Arcade Fire is a Canadian band. If that doesn’t explain who they are, then you probably don’t know who they are, and hipsters may beat you up.
