We’ve started the month of March with temperatures considerably below average, and this is on the heels of a colder than normal February. If you're like me, you’re probably looking for some warmer readings at this point. Well, this weekend will deliver on that angle. No really warm stuff, but with that strong March sun, it’s going to feel nice out there! Don’t forget to spring forward tonight.
Today (Saturday): After a chilly start, that powerful March sun goes to work and gives us a pretty nice one. If averages were a little warmer I’d have bumped the digit past 8! Winds are light, and with that plentiful sun, temperatures ranging from about 52-58 should be mostly delightful. Confidence: High
Tonight: Skies are mostly clear and winds are generally light. You’ll still want at least a light jacket if out, but temperatures aren’t too cold. We eventually get down to near freezing in the suburbs and right around 40 downtown. Don’t forget to set any of those weird clocks that need manual changing before bed. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Sunday): Take today and make it a little bit warmer, with extra clouds floating by, especially by afternoon. Not too shabby! This should be a busy weekend outdoors with folks taking in the milder weather. Highs range from the upper 50s to low 60s most spots. Oh, that extra evening light... so very sweet! Confidence: High
Tomorrow night: Clouds continue to thicken and lower a bit during the night, but no precipitation is expected. Those clouds help keep temperatures up a bit thanks to their “blanketing” effect. This should lead to fairly uniform lows in the upper 30s to low 40s. Confidence: Medium-High
We start the work week on Monday with mostly cloudy skies. Fear not though, as it will still be mild. Look for afternoon temps to make it up around 60 to the low 60s, perhaps a bit higher if we get enough sun We may start to pick up a shower threat by late afternoon or evening, and that risk grows to likely through the night with lows reaching the mid-40s to near 50. Confidence: Medium
Showers remain likely, at least in the morning on Tuesday as a wave of low pressure forms along the front. This may help enhance rainfall for a while, possibly lasting through the morning commute. With some luck, rain ends before noon, bringing clearing skies the rest of the day. Temps are a little tricky, as they could end up mild with enough sun, but I’ll hedge to the mid-50s for now. Confidence: Low-Medium
