Quite an active weather pattern we’ve got here over the next several days. From a chilly rain today with thunder possible this evening, we swing back to sunnier and warmer times tomorrow. Much of Friday is pleasant, but then shower chances return late Friday into Saturday. Today and Sunday should be the coldest days of the bunch, with fairly mild weather in between.
Today (Wednesday): Rain moves in from west to east during the early-to-mid morning (approx. 7-9 a.m.). Hard to say for sure, but we may see a mid-to-late afternoon lull before more rain during the evening. Overcast skies and rain likely keep temperatures from breaking out of the 40s much of the day, though they could pop into the 50s in the late afternoon or evening as warmer air tries to push in from the south . Confidence: Medium
Tonight: Showers remain a risk this evening (60% chance) and we might see a thunderstorm as well, then rain odds diminish with partial clearing possible overnight or toward morning. Many spots could end up with rain totals in the 0.5-0.75” range. Mild flow from the southwest keeps overnight temperatures mostly steady in the mid-40s to low 50s. Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow (Thursday): Warmth never seems to stay away long this winter and it’s right back tomorrow. Partly sunny skies and mild breezes around 15-20 mph from the west warm us up nicely. Most should see highs in the 60s. Confidence: Medium-High
Tomorrow night: Winds become light or calm as a high-pressure center passes almost directly overhead. Lows probably end up in the mid-30s to mid-40s (suburbs to city) under partly to mostly clear skies. Confidence: Medium-High
The way it looks now, we’ll stay high and dry through at least the first half of Friday, as mostly sunny skies help highs toward the mid-to-upper 50s. Clouds increase Friday afternoon and we pick up a 30% chance of showers late Friday afternoon or evening. Rain chances increase to 50% overnight as a cold front closes in from the west. Confidence: Medium
The cold front comes through Saturday with gusty breezes, plenty of clouds, and probably at least a period of showers (some thunder?). Assuming we stay on the warm side of the front for a good part of the day, then highs should climb into the 60s. Saturday night brings clearing skies as the cold front heads out to sea.and lows drop to the mid-30s to low 40s. Confidence: Medium
Sunday still threatens a pretty good breeze and maybe a passing morning shower or snow shower, with afternoon highs in the upper 40s to mid-50s. A clipper system Sunday night may produce a period of snow or rain showers. Confidence: Medium
