Today (Monday): Take Sunday and run it through the copier. The day begins with low clouds, fog and perhaps a little drizzle. Skies brighten at times in the afternoon with possible patches of blue. Highs manage around 70. Winds are light from the southeast at 5- 10 mph. Confidence: Medium-High

Tonight: Mostly cloudy and mild. Can’t rule out a shower late at night. The clouds and flow from the southeast hold up nighttime temps with low only ranging from the mid-to-upper 50s (suburbs-city). Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow (Tuesday): Rather than off the ocean, the flow becomes more from the south (at 10-15 mph). Temeperatures respond by rising well into the 70s to even near 80 in places where there’s enough sunshine. As the afternoon wears on, an approaching cold front may trigger a shower or thunderstorm (30-40 percent chance). Confidence: Mediium

Tomorrow night: Showers and thunderstorms are around during the evening (40-50 percent chance). The cold front slows down over the region, keeping skies mostly cloudy overnight. Lows range from upper 50s to low 60s. Confidence: Medium-High


A stalled out cold front probably sits just to our east as low pressure develops along it on Wednesday. Depending on the exact position of the front and the track of the low, a round of showers and embedded thunder may swing through. Highs should be near 68-74. Gradual clearing Wednesday night, with lows 48-54 (suburbs-city). Confidence: Medium

A quiet pattern strolls into the region Thursday through Mother’s Day (Sunday). Highs Thursday and Friday are around 70, moderating to the mid-70s by the weekend. Overnight low range from the upper 30s to upper 40s (suburbs to city). Confidence: Medium
