Don’t pay any attention to the “man behind the curtain” (clouds) and you’ll be able to enjoy temperatures, for the most part this weekend, in the 70s. While true the shower chances will increase by Friday evening... continuing to increase again for Saturday afternoon and into, well, Tuesday...there will be a few dry periods here and there. So don’t give up. If you are willing to watch radar with us, we can all dodge these showers and occasional thunderstorms from time to time. For once in my forecast, I won’t have to insist upon sunscreen!
Today (Friday): Lots of clouds, with only a few breaks of sunshine. Yet you’ll notice it stays mainly dry & comfortable for much of the day -- just a bit more humid-feeling. However, a chance of a shower or two does come into the picture - in the morning (20% chance) and again in the timeframe of late afternoon onward into evening (30% chance) especially as you head west. No complaints, I presume, with highs 70 to 75 and a light southeast breeze from 5 to 10 mph - correct? Confidence: Medium-High
Tonight: The cloudy pattern continues with persistent mostly-overcast skies. And I think a muggy feeling will be prevalent after dinner--especially if you receive any rain. Showers are still possible but most of us should have a dry dinner time. Abundant clouds through the night should combine with higher, muggy dewpoints (around 60), yielding warmer overnight temperatures. We won’t be able to get but to the upper 50s to lower 60s. A slight southeast breeze should continue for most of the night as well. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Saturday): You guessed it: mostly cloudy. A light east wind keeps us socked-in with low level moisture. You may even feel the humidity at times. Temperatures remain a pleasant consolation with a slow rise up through the 60s & into the lower 70s. Perhaps 75 if we see a few peeks of sun. However, you won’t like the shower chances. Have an umbrella if you’re out in the morning, but the highest showers chances are in the afternoon towards the evening. Don’t be surprised if you hear a rumble of thunder, too. Confidence: Medium
Tomorrow night: Very good (70-80%) chance of showers and probably a thunderstorm. Heavy downpours are possible. Lows remain warm, in the low-to-mid 60s. Sundown to sunrise may be our wettest period, so do take that umbrella with you if going out. Confidence: Medium
Sunday: A good chance of showers, especially in the afternoon (70% chance) but there could be some showers in the morning (30-40% chance). If we get some sun, a couple strong to severe storms are possible. Positive thinking begs that I highlight again-comfortable high temperatures in the low-to-mid-70s. A bit muggy today too. You might sweat more easily than usual. Confidence: Low-Medium
Sunday night offers more showers and thundershowers at times. Lows should languish in the low-to-mid 60s. Confidence: Low-Medium
Monday may perhaps have a few peeks of sun in the morning as an organizing low pressure system moves away from our area. It doesn’t mean the atmosphere stabilizes though. Clouds and showers could return by afternoon (40-50% chance) with high temperatures in the low-to-mid 70s. At least we’ll see more sun, probably! And slightly lowering humidity levels. Confidence: Low-Medium
In broken record fashion, clouds probably outnumber rays of sunshine Tuesday. But shower chances are just a bit lower, around 40-50%. High temperatures are just a tad cooler, around 70. Complain about the moisture, sure--but not the temperatures! Check back with us by Monday to make sure we don’t have thunderstorms also threatening. Confidence: Low
