Today and tomorrow couldn’t be nicer with plenty of sun, low humidity and highs in the 80s. Friday, then, is our warmer and more humid transition day. Transition to what? Unfortunately to some serious heat and humidity here to stay through the July 4th weekend. Doesn’t appear to be a particularly stormy holiday weekend, though it’s too soon to talk with much certainty about conditions before and during fireworks Monday evening.
Today (Wednesday): With high pressure building in we’ve got a fantastic day in store. Skies are mostly sunny and highs should max out in the mid-80s - with the low humidity, gotta give this one a Nice Day Sun, even if there’s a chance we go just past the 85-degree criteria. Throw in a refreshing 10-20 mph breeze from the northwest and this one has outdoor lunch written all over it, with napkins trying to blow away the only real nuisance. Confidence: High
Tonight: Breezes diminish during the evening as temps fall into and through the mighty comfortable 70s. Under mostly clear skies, overnight lows cool down to the mid-60s downtown and upper 50s to low 60s in the burbs. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Thursday): Bank on another spectacular day tomorrow as morning readings rise through the 60s into the 70s. High pressure holds on strong for mostly sunny skies, continued low humidity, and highs in the low-to-mid 80s with light winds. Confidence: High
Tomorrow night: Humidity slowly starts to make its comeback, though the evening hours should still be plenty pleasant. Overnight lows are mainly in the 60s, except maybe right around 60 in the cooler burbs, beneath partly to mostly clear skies. Confidence: High
Friday shapes up as partly to mostly sunny and more humid, but probably moderate humidity rather than high, and warmer with highs near 90. The chance of a late-day t’storm looks to be less than 20%. Friday night features increasing mugginess and milder lows in the upper 60s to mid-70s. Confidence: Medium-High
Not-so-nice timing for our next heat wave as it coincides with the July 4th weekend. We’ve got a shot at highs in the mid-90s or higher Saturday, Sunday and Monday under partly to mostly sunny skies. The humidity’s back in full force, too, meaning muggy Saturday and Sunday night lows in the 70s. Late-day storm chances edge upward from less than 20% Saturday, to around 20-30% Sunday and Monday. It’s too early to make a confident call about conditions before and during fireworks time on the 4th. Confidence: Medium
