If you can handle temperatures running a bit below normal, there’s not a whole lot to worry about this weekend. A breeze that’s still fairly noticeable today begins to diminish during the afternoon. By tomorrow it should be rather light and beginning to pump in some warmer air from the south. Into Monday we flip back warmer than normal and that looks to continue through a good part of the work week. We’ll also see a whole lot more clear skies than clouds for the next several days.

Today (Saturday): After an overnight freeze for parts of the area, temperatures begin their climb with the sun, and we’ll have no shortage of rays today. In fact, it could be one of those days where we’re hard pressed to find a cloud. We’ll still be dealing with a breeze around 5-10 mph, though it should diminish as we go toward evening. Highs are running about 5-10 degrees below normal though, ranging from near 50 to the mid-50s. Confidence: Medium-High

Tonight: Plan on a clear one, and on setting any of those increasingly rare manual clocks back one hour before bed. Temperatures dip nicely after sunset, through the 40s and into the 30s in outlying by around midnight. Overnight lows should head back down to near 30 in the cold spots while remaining closer to the upper 30s downtown. Winds are light and variable. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Sunday): Don’t sleep in too late and miss all the sun! And even better, its also warmer than today. On a light wind shifting to the south, afternoon readings should top out in the mid-50s to near 60, so that means most of us are in the upper 50s. There could be a few clouds here and there but nothing of real note. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow night: A milder airmass is moving in on a southerly wind, and that means the threat of a freeze is gone for a little bit at least — National still has none. Lows should range from the upper 30s to the lower 40s under partly to mostly clear skies. Confidence: Medium-High

Trends continue upward on Monday if you’re looking for another taste of warmth. This should be a contender for a Nice Day stamp and a pretty high digit. It’s far enough out I can’t quite give it the stamp yet though. Maybe by tomorrow? Anyhow, it’s mostly sunny with highs in the mid-60s most spots. Confidence: Medium

On Tuesday we may make a run toward 70 as we find ourselves in between a storm system over the center of the country and a big high pressure off the Southeast coast. Clouds should again be rather minimal, but maybe more common than in previous days. Highs shoot for at least the mid-and-upper 60s, if not a bit better. Confidence: Medium
