Standing in the shade today, it felt like winter. Standing in the sun, it felt like late fall. Tonight’s there’s no escaping the chill, but tomorrow there’s more than enough sun to go around if you step away from the shadows. Temperatures will be even slightly milder than today’s highs near 50.

Through Tonight: Bundle up for sure if you’re headed out to watch the Geminid meteor shower. A hot drink isn’t a bad idea either. During the best time viewing times from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., temperatures will drop into 30s in most spots...even close to freezing in the colder suburbs. By dawn, lows range from 24-32 (suburbs-city).

Friday: It’s cold when you head out, but abundant sunshine definitely takes an edge off the chill progressively into the afternoon. Highs range from 50-55. Winds are fairly light - from the west and southwest at around 5 mph.
