PM Update: Refreshing, sometimes sunny 70s continue with a shower or two

A steady, cool breeze from the northwest has held temperatures below average for the third straight day. We’ve only managed to reach the mid-70s today and Tuesday may be a few degrees cooler. Showers have yet to pop up in the immediate area but they still may this evening and again Tuesday.

Through Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy skies with a 20 percent chance of showers, with the evening hours favored. No need at all for air conditioning, with lows 52-57 (suburbs-city).

Tuesday: Conditions are similar to today - variably cloudy with a 30% chance of showers - especially in the afternoon and into the evening. It’s probably the coolest day of the week, with highs just 70-75.

Pollen: trees are LOW-MODERATE, grasses MODERATE to HIGH - but lower than values earlier in spring.

AccuWeather on FOX: FOX will feature AccuWeather content in 11 television markets including Washington, D.C. beginning this summer, according to Broadcasting & Cable. A 24/7 streaming video weather channel run by AccuWeather will be available across media platforms (including mobile) in these markets.
