The good thing about cold days late in the “winter” like yesterday, is they’re often followed by delightful ones like today. Highs soared into the low-and-mid 60s, with only a gusty northwest wind as detraction. It wasn’t even so bad really!

Through Tonight: Skies are mostly clear on the whole, but we may see a period or two of more numerous clouds. Those winds of today stay up a bit in the evening, but should rapidly decrease after sunset, ending up around 5 mph from the north late. Overnight lows make the near freezing to near 40 range, coldest suburbs to warmest downtown.

Tomorrow (Tuesday): It’s a cool start, but a pretty awesome day in the end. We’re mostly sunny and without a weather care in the world. Temperatures head toward the mid-60s most spots, a range of 63-68 or so seems good. Winds should be light, from the south or east around 5 to 10 mph.

Silly storm: Much like around here yesterday, folks up in Long Island and Connecticut were given a bit of surprise late-season snow as a heavy band cut through the region. Up to 3-5 inches was reported mainly from central CT, down through west-central Long Island. Spots on either side saw little to no snow sticking.
