Mike Green on the ice for Capitals practice

All 22 players on the Capitals’ active roster are out on the ice for practice this morning at KCI — including defenseman Mike Green, who has yet to make it through a full team practice since injuring his right ankle.

Green is rotating in among the defensmen for drills but still doesn’t look to be skating effortlessly, the way he does when healthy, as he goes through them.

The 26-year-old defenseman initially suffered a twisted right ankle against the Detroit Red Wings on Oct. 22 but five games and 16 days later Green still has yet to complete a full practice with the rest of the team. Is today the day?

Jay Beagle, who is not on the active list and hasn’t skated with the team since suffering a concussion on Oct. 13, is the only player not working out on the ice Monday.

The lines and defensive pairings pick up where they left off at the conclusion of Saturday’s 5-1 win over Carolina. If you need a refresher, the full lineup for this morning’s practice is below:

Forwards
Ovechkin-Backstrom-Brouwer
Eakin-Johansson-Semin
Chimera-Laich-Ward
Hendricks-Perreault/Halpern-Knuble

Defense
