The Capitals have recalled goaltender Braden Holtby from the American Hockey League following the elimination of the Hershey Bears from the Calder Cup playoffs.

It’s unclear if Washington will bring up any additional players from Hershey during the postseason run.

Holtby had a 10-2-2 record in 14 games for the Capitals this year, with a .934 save percentage and 1.79 goals-against average.

The 21-year-old goaltender was 17-10-2 for the Bears this year and finished the AHL regular season with a 2.29 goals-against average and .920 save percentage.
