The Capitals announced this morning that they’re bringing back Chris Bourque for his third stint with the organization, signing the left wing to a one-year deal.

The 25-year-old son of Hall of Famer Ray Bourque turned down a qualifying offer from Washington last July to play in Europe. He collected 33 points (14 goals, 19 assists) in 39 games with the Swiss-A league’s Lugano and adding one goal in eight games with Mytishchi of the KHL.

Bourque, a 2004 Capitals first-round draft pick (33rd overall), has played on three Calder Cup winning Hershey Bears teams (2006, 2009, 2010), and has collected one goal and three assists in 33 NHL games with Washington and Pittsburgh.
