Capitals winger Matt Hendricks did not take part in the team’s morning skate at Scotiabank Place and will not be in the lineup tonight as they face Ottawa.

Hendricks was riding the stationary bike in the arena this morning but said he couldn’t comment on the undisclosed injury that sidelined him. The fourth-line grinder played just 4 minutes 22 seconds against Florida on Monday and did not take a shift in the third period.

Coach Dale Hunter did not give any specifics on Hendricks’s status other than reiterating that the winger is day-to-day.
