There is no structural damage to Troy Brouwer's shoulder and the Capitals winger should be able to play this weekend, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Brouwer's absence from practice was more of a precautionary move after he was shoved into the boards by Anaheim's Toni Lydman on Tuesday.

Brouwer's right shoulder took the brunt of the impact when he fell. It was the same shoulder that he had offseason surgery on this past summer.
