Our favorite (only?) Ovi-centric blog, Alex Ovetjkin, reports that Nike’s newest hockey endorser recently shot his first campaign for the brand.

From GQ Russia:

In early September we spent the whole day on the ice and in the locker room with Alexander Ovechkin, who flew to Moscow to shoot his first advertising campaign for Nike. The video premieres here and now. This is the total look of Ovechkin nobody else hasn't seen yet.

Here’s the video:

Ovechkin signed a long-term contract with Nike earlier this month, after his previous endorsement deal with CCM expired. He also teamed up with Bauer, signing a six-year deal with the equipment manufacturer.

Other Nike athletes include Tampa Bay’s Steven Stamkos and Montreal defenseman P.K. Subban.
